Economic pressures are continuing to force organizations to transform the way they do business, focusing on process optimization, automation and cost containment in order to successfully adapt to the changing landscape. Also coming to the forefront is the urgent need to focus on talent – identifying talent, nurturing talent and retaining talent as the economy begins to recover. Throughout 2010, we will continue to be a driving force in our clients' business transformations, success and growth. Mastering four key elements will be a central focus of our work with clients in the coming months:
Technology
Implementing new technology is, for many clients, the primary driver of increasing process efficiency. As resources become leaner in response to the business environment, focus will narrow even further on standardizing and managing work through technology. Central to this will be the increased need for project management and workflow management tools that enable managers and teams to more easily organize tasks, implement plans and measure success.
Employee Engagement
Employee engagement improves organizational performance while also contributing to individual performance. As the environment changes rapidly and difficult decisions are made, management must be prepared to identify and fill gaps in communication, recognition, career growth, and trust that may result in disengagement and loss of top talent.
Execution
While having a good strategy in place is important, it is only through execution that organizations realize the results, growth and success they envision. Leaders often clearly see their organization’s gap between strategy and execution, but are powerless to close it. The key is aligning purpose (strategy, direction, structure), people (and other resources) and core processes in a way that empowers, engages and enables individual, team and organizational performance.
Business Transformation
Many leaders will find their business’s success ultimately requires more than incremental change – it requires a true transformation. Shaping strategy, culture and process so that client organizations are better able to meet their challenges and exceed their goals is our business. Our 3P™ approach to business transformation provides a comprehensive roadmap, implementation support and performance measurement that makes us the leader in the field.
I want to thank our clients for their business and support. We look forward to building upon those relationships in the years ahead. We look at 2010 and beyond with confidence as we continue to bring excellence and innovation in products and services offered to our clients. We remain committed to helping our clients achieve success.
